See that nasty-looking serving dish? Only a buck, but come on, who wants something that gross? Well, a couple of minutes with some silver polish -- yes, it's real silver -- and look what my wife did with it. … [Read more...]
Fruit Smoothie with the Ninja

I already mentioned the Ninja Master Prep once before. And when I said it was good for prepping food, I wasn't kidding. But I've got to tell you, this thing is absolutely replacing my blender when it comes to making frozen drinks. I can't think of anything I'd rather use the blender for. But what I'm talking about is the new toy I got. Now before you get all, "Dude, Grandma didn't use a food processor," let me tell you about Bill … [Read more...]
How To Make Tortilla Chips
October 12, 2009 (Updated March 24, 2014) by
I love going to Mexican restaurants. All the ones around here have fresh chips and salsa on the table as soon as you sit down. I've occasionally had some sub-par salsa, but the hot, fresh chips are always totally addictive. I'm not quite ready to make my own tortillas, but with a pack of 50 pre-made corn tortillas costing about a dollar -- and the ingredients looking about like what I'd use myself -- I'm okay with buying them for now. And the chips ... oh, man, the chips are good. … [Read more...]
