How To Make Pierogis, First Try

Way back in August Beah asked for pierogis.Being of Polish heritage, pierogis were a mainstay in family dinners. We never had potato and cheddar cheese filled ones, that's more of an Americanized version. Ours were potato filled, sometimes with some bacon in it (!) and then sautéed with lots of butter and onions. Delicious! Heluva Funny Label

I noticed a while back that I had to be careful to check the ingredients even on things that seem like you can't mess with them. Like cream. Lots of "heavy whipping cream" has added stabilizers and other stuff added so that it will whip up better. Not that it's hard to whip real cream, but nothing is so perfect that someone won't try to "improve" it. Sorry, going off on a tangent there.
